This is a presentation of a simple User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) concept for the YouTube website for the year 2020. Inspiration for this comes from the many designers here on Behance who have posted protjects like this over the years as well as a desire to always see a website improve upon it's user experience.
The below concept focuses on both the Youtube menu slider as well as the main viewer profile menu at the top-right of the viewport.
To Start off, an animated gif image is posted to show how a compressed version of all main menus are placed into one frame in the menu dock providing a way to cleanly and easily hide and find all necessary menu icons and results.
Below example shows the Home, Subcriptions, Library, and Apps setup in the menue display. Trending, History and Watch Later (I'm sure you can imagine) follow the same principle concept when displaying results.
I had fun on this little tweaking project. I hope you all enjoy it.

Below you can see the viewer controls at the top right corner. All functions would still work as they do on YouTube currently, but the icons are arranged differently and the Apps Icon is removed while the Settings Icon is added for easier access. Sadly the this project was half way done by the time YouTube added the Messages Icon so that one isn't displayed. However, if it had to be placed anywhere, it would be in the drop down of the user profile image.
The Search Bar is just to keep the theme of this project for the most part, but the search icon and field would still fall along those dimensions.

The next 4 images show how the menu slider looks in the whole viewport with the dark, transparent overlay that appears as the menu is opened. The menu display shows each state as represented above. (Since this was just a small project images of my actual YouTube news feed and activity was used.)
Brakdown of main menu icons:
Home: Takes the user to the YouTube homepage / Menu display shows nothing.
Subscriptions: Takes the user to the subcriptions page / Menu display shows all subscribed channels.
Library: Stays on the current page the user is on / Menu display shows two tabs. One for playlists and one for liked videos, which inturn display either type of content under the tabs.
Apps: Stays on the current page the user is on / Menu display shows all YouTube apps, such as YouTube Kids and YouTube Music.
